我们全人类有一个共同的母亲——地球。她哺育着人类，是我们生命的摇篮。可是，近年来，我们的母亲却变得伤痕累累，这完全是由于大多数人缺乏环保意识、随意破坏环境，让地球母亲哭泣。

在生活中，破坏环境的人随时、随地、随处可见：大街上，人们随地吐痰、乱扔垃圾、让宠物随地大小便，而且还装出一副旁若无人的样子，没有一点愧疚之情。旁边的人也都不闻不问，好像什么事也没有发生;森林里，人们不断的砍伐树木，使一座座茂盛的森林变成了一片片荒凉的平地;工厂的大烟囱里，不断地排放处黑黑的浓烟，把整个天空染成漆黑的一片，对城市环境造成了极大的污染人类的一些行为，使清清的河水变成垃圾河、使湛蓝的天空变成灰蒙蒙的天空、使可再生资源变成变成不可再生资源如果再这样下去，人类就会灭亡。

对此，国家也采取了一些环保的措施，如：建立自然保护区、加强天然林保护和因公林建设、设定《环境保护法》、《海洋环境保护法》、《水污染防治法》等法律法规、加强国际间的合作等等，并且取得了很大的成就。

而现在，人们也已经意识到了这一点，同学们也都在积极行动，为环保事业贡献自己的一份力量：

在刚过去的一年中，学校就开展了许多有关环保的活动，鼓励同学们多植树，发出少用塑料袋，远离白色污染的倡议，还通过黑板报、手抄报、宣传栏等方式教我们一些环保知识和生活中的环保小常识。作为环保小卫士的我还在世界环境日那天以保护环境，低碳生活为主题制作了幻灯片，加强了同学们的环保意识。同学们还成立了一个环保小组向更多的人宣传环保理念，提醒广大市民从自身做起，爱护环境、美化家园。

一：节约用水提倡使用脸盆洗脸，洗完脸或洗完衣服的水用来浇花，洗拖把。爱护节水设施，关紧水龙头，自觉做到珍惜水源。

二：节约用电建议尽量用自然光，随手关灯、电脑等电设备，使用完后及时断电，减少待机损耗，合理使用电器。

三：绿色消费尽量少用一次性纸杯，提倡自带水杯，少且一次性塑料袋，建议用布袋，可以多次使用，减少白色污染。

四：垃圾处理垃圾不要随手扔在地上，尽量放在邻近的垃圾桶中，但要注意垃圾分类，矿泉水瓶能重复使用的尽量接着用。

五：少砍伐、破坏多一些保护、扶植，保护森林中的小生物，让他们的生命持续。
